Local Government Engineering Department is one of the vital department under the Local Government Ministry. Although the rural development program started in the 80’s, its scope has expanded significantly over time. Starting from the remote areas of the country, LGED has a huge work force in the city limits. The contribution that LGED has made in mobilizing the rural economy through road connectivity and development of hat-bazaars and growth centers in rural areas is visible today.
