Bangladesh Bar Council
Bangladesh Bar Council is a central body formed under the Bangladesh Lawyers and Bar Council Order 1972 (Order No. 48 of 1972 of the President). The council’s functions include enlisting advocates, conducting examinations for enrollment, and canceling the registration of advocates for professional misconduct or non-payment of dues to the Bar Council. 15 members of the Bar Council constituted by order of the President in 1972; Among them, the Attorney General of Bangladesh is ex-officio President of the Bar Council.

Out of the remaining 14 members, 6 were elected by advocates from among the advocates, while the remaining 6 were elected from each group, one from each of the members of the local bar associations divided into 8 groups. The members of the Bar Council elect a Vice President from among themselves. The term of the Bar Council is 3 years. The Bar Council has several standing committees, such as the Executive Committee to manage the administration of the Council, the Examination and Registration Committee to enroll lawyers, the Finance Committee to control and manage the Council’s finances and the Legal Education Committee to determine the quality of lawyers’ legal education.

Bar Council Result Notice 2022
Last February 28, the preliminary, that is, MCQ exam, held where 50 thousand students took part. A total of the thirteen thousand student passed in the Bar Council MCQ Preliminary Enrollment Exam 2022 . In that case now there will be no problem in taking written test of 13 thousand students. Bar Council Exam Notice 2022 (MCQ+Written)
Bar Council has published its latest Notice for taking its written exam for the enrollment as a lawyer this month. Bangladesh Bar Council authorities have announced the date for taking the written exam for enrollment as a lawyer. The Bar Council Enrollment Exam 2022 is scheduled to be taken on September 26 in Dhaka. About 13,000 candidates are in extreme anxiety about this. Many of them have gone on hunger strike in different districts including Dhaka demanding cancellation of exams and also held various programs for 7 days.
The Bar Council issued a notice on December 08 to take the written examination for the lawyer enrollment. A section there said, ‘The Faculty of Arts of Dhaka University has agreed to take the exam subject to the opening of the university and college. The test will be taken subject to the availability of the hall. If you want to know about the Secretary of the Bar Council District Judge. Bar council are still ready to take the written test on September 26. Even then, if there is a special situation with corona infection, the test may be delayed. If so, it will be informed with a notice.

According to the Bar Council rules, in order to be registered as a lawyer, the candidates have to pass the Preliminary (Impersonal), Written and Viva (Oral) examinations. The Bar Council is the only government body in the country to issue a certificate for conducting legal profession. More than 50,000 candidates took part in the preliminary examination on February 28. 12 thousand 758 people who have passed the preliminary examination will take part in the written examination this time.
Earlier, Bar Council took the Viva exam of the short listed candidates. Later the preliminary examination was included. But since 2012, there have been three stages of preliminary, written and viva examination. This is not a government job.
